Persons applying for competitions managed by Food Camp Finland Oy.
4. Purpose of processing personal data
The purpose of the register is to maintain a list of people who have currently or previously applied for, participated in, or won competitions (Makeamestari, Pizzamestari, Burger Battle) managed by Food Camp Finland Oy. The contact information in the register is used:
• for contact, communication, organizing events, competitions and collecting feedback
• for statistics and reporting (data is not transferred to statistics in an individualized manner)
• for cooperation-related surveys, research and development work
5. Data content of the register
The register processes information belonging to the following categories:
• contact information (name, job title, postal address, email address and telephone number, city)
• any other information collected with the consent of partners, such as clothing size, diet, place of birth, education and workplace information, hobbies, age and gender.
6. Regular sources of information
Personal data is collected from the data subject themselves or from their supporting organization. The information is obtained either verbally, by telephone, by email or via the internet.
7. Regular disclosure of information
The contact details of people participating in competitions managed by Food Camp Finland may be shared between the group in question, the competition organisation and the competition's partners. Information about special diets may be disclosed to the party responsible for catering for the purpose of organising the event. Similarly, information about clothing size may be disclosed to the party responsible for clothing.
Marketing communications and media work may use information collected with the consent of the person concerned, such as name, background community, professional title, place of birth, educational and workplace information, hobbies, age and gender, for which the person has given consent to be shared in marketing communications.
In the organization of events, activities and competitions related to Food Camp Finland's activities, the name, background community and professional title of the participants may be shared among the organizing parties, technical partners and joint partners.
Additionally, depending on the nature of the event, information about the age of majority or minor of the participants may be shared with the organizer of the events, activities and competitions. Otherwise, the information will not be disclosed to third parties.
8. Transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
Data is not transferred or disclosed outside the EU or the European Economic Area.
9. Principles of register protection
Access to information about individuals who have applied for competitions managed by Food Camp Finland and the right to maintain the register are reserved for those employees of Food Camp Finland or persons working with competitions managed by Food Camp Finland under a contract of assignment who need and process this information for their work related to Food Camp Finland's operations. Changes and additions to the register are made by the contact person in this register description. The system and backups are appropriately protected.
10. Right to inspection and prohibition
In accordance with Section 26 of the Personal Data Act, the data subject has the right to check what information about him or her has been stored in the personal data register, to request that incorrect information be corrected and to request that unnecessary information be deleted. The request for inspection must be sent in writing to the person handling the register. An e-mail message is also accepted as a written request. The person may refuse to receive information by e-mail or by telephone by notifying the contact person of the register description.
